WNC Woman presents an ongoing series to help support you in gaining Mastery over the aspects of life most important to you.
“Nothing about my life is lucky. Nothing. A lot of grace, a lot of blessings, a lot of divine order, but I don’t believe in luck. For me, luck is preparation meeting the moment of opportunity. There is no luck without you being prepared to handle that moment of opportunity. Every single thing that has ever happened in your life is preparing you for the moment that is to come.” ~ Oprah Winfrey’s Master Class – The Lessons – Go For Excellence
We created the Mastery events to Inspire women in our community to live the lives they desire and lives they love by having the courage to be authentic. Our plan is to bring topics and speakers that will Inform participants to ask themselves the deeper questions that allow them to make well-informed, factual choices. It is the choices we make that create our lives. During the next year we want to ask you to Entertain the possibilities of making different choices because you choose to come to these events with an open heart and an open mind. Our greatest desire is to create an environment in which the women in our WNC Communities come to Connect.
Jim Rhone famously said that we are the average of the five people we spend the most time with. This relates to the law of averages, which is the theory that the result of any given situation will be the average of all outcomes. When it comes to relationships, we are greatly influenced by those we spend our time with. It affects our way of thinking; it affects our self-esteem, and our decisions. I believe this is also true in the events we choose to invest our time to attend.
March 1, Mary Hart: For over 24 years, Mary Hart has represented a broad cross-section of clients in a variety of matters including wills, trusts, estate and gift tax planning (including estate planning for family-owned businesses and large estates), long-term care planning, trust and estate administration and litigation, guardianship matters, income taxation, commercial and residential real estate law (including §1031 exchanges, real estate closings, and lease/contract negotiations), construction law, contract law, and business law. She is the owner of Carolina 1031 Exchange, LLC, which serves as a Qualified Intermediary and Exchange Accommodation Titleholder for Section 1031 like-kind tax-deferred exchanges, and she is an active real estate investor. Mary received her Juris Doctor from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 1991 with an undergraduate degree in Economics from Davidson College in 1986, and holds licenses to practice law in North Carolina and Alaska.
Mary Will present: Your Ultimate Love Letter – Your Estate Plan.
“I think of it as a love letter to yourself and to your family to get prepared for life’s inevitabilities. It’s a life and death plan. When people hear that word Estate Planning they assume you have to be rich, that you must have some reason to have an estate plan. It just sounds kind of hifalutin’. It’s just preparing for the eventualities of death and possibility disability.”
In this presentation Mary will help inform us of the most important things we need to know about preparing Our Ultimate Love Letters.
We look forward to seeing you there!
