FEATURES

COVER ART THIS MONTH BY KAREN BELL “Music at Sunrise” is a wax resist drawing on linen and painted with mixed dyes. I play banjo and often go to festivals and camp- outs with my all female band, Honey Holler. I love playing in the early morning and my Asheville musical friends offer constant inspiration for my art which is focused on women and music. Currently I am working on several commissions and continue to design silk screen art for music festivals here in North Carolina and in California. I also offer private lessons in surface design in my Haywood County studio. Website: www.karenbellartandmusic.com email: thegreatsilkie@yahoo.com
