In the 2010 sci-fi thriller “Inception,” actor Leonardo DiCaprio plays a skilled thief who specializes in the dangerous art of extraction — stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during a dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable.

The movie is, of course, Hollywood fiction but a part of it is actually a successful healing therapy today. In 2010, transpersonal hypnotherapist and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner Cheryl Sullivan developed Inception Point Therapy®.

Inception Point Therapy is a unique and successful new way of healing the mind, body and soul. Asheville has been widely recognized as a place of healing since the late 1700s, and there are many opportunities for personal growth and emotional development. But, there are few options that do exactly what Cheryl does.

An inception point is the point at which an emotion, belief, or karmic pattern is created. It is the beginning, or root cause, of a pattern. Inception points are simply experiences. The experiences themselves are not to blame for the results. It is up to the individual to consciously select the emotions and decisions at those points. With Inception Point Therapy, a person has the opportunity to go back to those points and make different choices, which can positively affect not just the past but also the present and future.

“Inception Point Therapy is one of the most comprehensive techniques today for clearing every level of a problem,” said Cheryl Sullivan, founder of Inception Point Institute and creator of Inception Point Therapy. “Many of the people I help are in the midst of a life transition, or want to be. I inspire them to change. I give them the tools to safely, easily and effectively make positive changes. They learn how to take control of their own lives once again.”

Cheryl’s passion for helping others dates back to her childhood when her family owned and operated funeral homes. Born into the funeral industry, she was exposed to people’s sorrow, grief and pain, and the need for compassion. Her mother had a special ability to comfort people, based on her intuitive ability, and through genetics and by example, that talent was passed along to Cheryl. In 1975, Cheryl actively began studying spirituality through Edgar Cayce’s Association for Research and Enlightment, in Virginia Beach. She also obtained a degree in Human Science Education, from Florida State University.

“I offer a new approach to an old problem,” said Cheryl. “Everyone knows that pain is a part of being human. However, suffering is only one response. Because we co-create our lives, we can consciously choose to live with joy and freedom. The question is how? Inception Point Therapy clears issues from the past so that any present or future decisions you make will be guided by truth and clarity. You’ll avoid making the same mistakes time and time again.”

How Does Inception Point Therapy Work?

Inception Point Therapy is based on an ever-present connection to Source. Source is whatever spiritual deity you believe in, whether it’s God, Allah, El or another.

Inception Point Therapy attunes your body to the energy of Source and shows you how to use it to resolve old emotional patterns in an entirely new way. It works on a genetic level to heal both emotional and physical problems.

Upcoming Weekend Workshop  (For more info or to reserve your space visit or call 828-333-5213 – Space is limited!)

Reclaim the Power to Heal Yourself!

Cheryl invites you to experience life-changing Inception Point Therapy over the course of a weekend. Beginning Friday, March 21st through the 23rd, you will experience deep meditation to reconnect you to Source (your spiritual deity). You’ll learn ways to heal your emotional and physical body. And you’ll have the opportunity to enhance your intuitive abilities.

“While I am skilled at transpersonal hypnosis and past life regression, this workshop focuses on giving attendees the tools and resources they need to heal themselves moving forward,” said Cheryl. “I have always wanted to help people make their lives more meaningful and fulfilling. Sometimes it’s hard to go at it alone. This type of emotional healing is my life’s work.”

Cheryl is an empath. According to, empaths are affected by other people’s energies, and have an innate ability to intuitively feel and perceive others. Many empaths are unaware of how this actually works and have long accepted that they were sensitive to others. Cheryl helps others harness this ability and use it as a gift and not a liability.

“In the workshop, I work with students to hone their own intuitive skills. All of us have intuitive abilities. Some connect through hearing, seeing, feeling or simply by knowing. Our interactive sessions help students discover and strengthen their abilities.”

The benefits of enhancing intuition are many. You make better, heart-based decisions more often; improve you physical, mental, emotional health; increase your effectiveness at home, work, school; and maximize your creativity.

“One of the results of the class is the ability to go into a meditative state instantly. The benefits of connecting with Source during a meditative state are endless. You get to know your true self, eliminate the root cause of problems that continually trouble you, and help you put your life on a more positive path. My workshop is an investment in time and energy that will impact your life now and far into the future.”

Cheryl’s students include:

• Those with spiritually unfulfilling relationships
• Those seeking their soul’s true path
• Those looking to build their self-worth
• Intuitives and sensitives seeking greater control and expansion of their abilities
• Therapists with a holistic approach
• Bodyworkers who want to explore healing in other ways
• Anyone seeking to feel more powerful in manifesting their ideal lives
